CULT Manchester band A Certain Ratio have produced a set of stunning prints to mark their entire back catalogue of albums.

The post-punk outfit who were signed to Factory Records - formed 1978 and released 13 albums between 1979 and 2008.

Band member Donald Johnson decided to commission the prints after seeing a similar project by The Charlatans, who produced a print of book covers for each of their albums, as well as a ‘tune map’ of their singles.

Johnson, The Charlatans’ team and their designer Ian Jackman Read decided to work on something similar for his band.

This lead to a range of beautiful butterfly motifs for each long player, starting with The Graveyard and The Ballroom through to Mind Made Up.

The Discography Lepidoptera costs £45 and only 100 have been made - all of which will be signed by the band.

The band will hold a special signing at Magma book shop on Oldham Street in the Northern Quarter, on November 4 at 6pm.

The band’s fans can buy the prints there and then.

Any remaining prints will be on sale online at 8pm that evening.

The range is also being produced as a set of postcards - with one for each individual album.

The cost for the full set will be £12.
