A BODY has been found in the search for missing Cindy Freeman-Jenkins.

Police were called to St Peter C of E Church, on Old Market Street, in Blackley, on Saturday morning.

There were reports a body had been found at around 8.45am at the graveyard.

Police later said they believed the body to be that of missing 31-year-old Cindy Freeman-Jenkins and her nextof-kin have been informed. She was last seen on September 12. Officers say there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.

Cindy’s wife and family made numerous appeals for help to find her in recent weeks.

Her wife of five years, Natalie Freeman-Jenkins, said Cindy had sent her text messages saying she loved her before her phone was either switched off or ran out of power.

In a direct appeal to her wife, Natalie, who lived with Cindy in the Clough Top Road area of Blackley, north Manchester, said: “You are my life and we just want you back.”

Cindy was reported missing by her sister Abbie Jenkins.

Natalie told how she left the house on the morning of September 12 to help a relative move house, kissing Cindy goodbye.

They exchanged messages from 11.30am.

Natalie received a final text from her wife at around 1pm, in which she said she had dozed off back to sleep.

After police investigations, however, it emerged Cindy had bought items from the Nisa store on Charlestown Road, Blackley.

She had also withdrawn cash from a Tesco on Victoria Avenue.

She was then seen walking on Erskine Road, near the busy junction with Rochdale Road and Victoria Avenue.

By 5pm her phone was unresponsive.
