Fears growing for safety of man seen being manhandled into car

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was seen being pushed into a car with cloned plates in Sale.

Officers were called to reports of a possible abduction on Windmill Road, just after 1.10pm on October 3.

Two men were seen forcing a man into the back of a black Audi A3.

They then were seen fleeing in the direction of Pimlott Way.

Detectives have establishe­d the car was being driven with cloned registrati­on plates and was seen at the intu Trafford Centre earlier that day.

The duo are described as aged between 20 to 30 and white.

One of the men was dressed in a jacket and the other was wearing a T-shirt.

Det Insp Simon Akker of GMP’s Trafford borough, said: “We are growing increasing­ly concerned for the welfare of the man that was pushed into the car.

“We are trying to establish the exact circumstan­ces surroundin­g this incident.

“We want to ensure that the man has not come to any harm.

“I am appealing to anyone that may have any informatio­n that could help us to please come forward.

“If you witnessed anything suspicious in the area that you believe may be connected to this incident then please contact police as soon as possible.”
