Gemma’s meal with Ryan (as friends!)
GEMMA Atkinson took a break from her Strictly Come Dancing training to enjoy dinner with former Manchester United footballer Ryan Giggs.
The 32-year-old took to Instagram to share a picture of their evening at the legendary footballer’s restaurant, George’s Dining Room & Bar in Worsley, Salford.
The soap star was accompanied by her professional dance partner Aljaz Skorjanec, as well as two other friends. Gemma wrote on Instagram: “Thanks for having us! Fab night in George’s Restaurant introducing @aljazskorjanec to the old school gang ✌ #Mates #Oldskool”.
But some fans were a little confused by the picture, asking why Giggs was at the dinner.
One user wrote on the Instagram post: “Back together?”
There had been rumours that Gemma had been getting friendly with Giggs after they were both spotted at the Sports Personality of the Year Awards , although the pair insist they are just friends. The picture also comes after Gemma ruled out rumours of a romance with pro dancer Gorka Marquez .
The Bury actress previously said the Strictly curse would be a blessing for her, being single.
But speaking in OK! magazine she said the last thing she is looking for at the moment is a man and is happy living with her pet pooches.
She said: “I’m happy to be the crazy dog woman with meals for one.”
