VICTOR Lindelof insists there is ‘no problem’ despite a difficult start to his Manchester United career.

The £30.7m defender made his debut against Real Madrid in the Super Cup but United manager Jose Mourinho admitted Lindelof was ‘not ready’ for the tie against the Champions League winners.

Lindelof, 23, has been included in only one of United’s seven Premier League matchday squads and is still yet to make his league debut four months after he joined the club from Benfica.

Mourinho started Lindelof in the midweek wins over Basel, Burton Albion and CSKA Moscow last month and Lindelof’s next appearance might be at his Portuguese former club on Wednesday.

“When I get my chance I want to do everything I can to help the team,” Lindelof said after playing for Sweden in the Netherlands. “I’m just there to do my job. I am enjoying life in England. We are playing well, I have good teammates and good coaches and it is a competitive league... the best in the world.

“We had a very good start and we want to continue and play good football. We have a very good squad. We go game-by-game. It is a big game on Saturday and we are looking forward to it.”

Lindelof conceded a penalty in the Swedes’ 2-0 qualifying defeat to the Dutch on Tuesday night but they have secured a World Cup play-off place.
