Officers were first called to Worsley Avenue, off Moston Lane, at 7.10pm by paramedics who had discovered a youth suffering from stab injuries.
He was taken to hospital where his condition was described as ‘life-threatening.’ Worsley Avenue was sealed off on Tuesday night while forensics teams combed the area for evidence and several marked GMP vehicles were seen on the street. Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

“Our investigation is in its very early stages so we are appealing for anyone who knows what happened to get in touch.
“We have made an arrest, however, we are still trying to piece together the puzzle and would appreciate the public’s help.”
