GREAT British Bake Off winner Candice Brown looked the very image of the snow queen as she helped launch this year’s Cake and Bake Show and Ideal Home Show in Manchester.
Candice, dressed in a large furry coat inspired by the Narnia theme of this year’s cake event, held at Event City.
And she will be hoping to be an ICE queen next - after signing up to star in the new series of Dancing on Ice.
Candice said: “I’ve started training and already had a few falls, I’ve got a nice purple bruise on my knee when I tried to do a little jump. I’ve landed on my backside too - it’s just such a weird thing to learn because your brain understands it but then your body goes another way! It’s a great chance for me to learn a new skill.”
She was joined by a host of famous faces at the grand opening, including Italian celebrity chef Gino D’Acampo, wine expert Olly Smith and Celebrity Big Brother star Calum Best.
Candice, who won the 2016 Great British Bake Off in its last year on the BBC, has had a hectic year since. She was showcasing a host of her recipes at the Cake and Bake Show including a huge black forest gateau on Thursday, and will be back again on Friday.
Candice was enjoying all the festive treats at the show.
She said: “I love Christmas it’s a real family time.”
Candice said she enjoyed the new series of GBBO now in its new home on Channel 4. Although she declined to discuss stories that hit the headlines at the weekend when she was pictured being hugged by GBBO judge Paul Hollywood.
