Tyson hopes the Price is right for ring comeback
TYSON Fury says he would be more than happy for his comeback fight to be against long-term domestic rival David Price.
The Manchester boxer hopes to return to the ring early next year, pending the results of his hearing with UK-Anti Doping, which is due to take place next month.
If all goes well, Fury plans on fighting in April, and took to social media to ask fans who they would like to see him face.
Price was one of the options given, and Fury would welcome the chance to step into the ring with the Liverpudlian, several years after they were first touted to face each other.
“Who would like to see me vs my oldest rival David Price, the big stiff plumber?” Fury joked on Twitter.
“Big Pricey was my only real loss in my career, amateur or professional. I would love to put it right if I could.
“Like I said in the past, they will need 10 plumbers to fix Price when I’m done with him.”
Fury’s tweets aimed at Price were tongue-in-cheek, referring to an infamous interview he did back in 2013, and his rival was happy to respond and continue the joke himself.
“Tyson I’m the last (and only) Englishman to beat you. I know deep down you still want revenge, now if you don’t mind I’m fitting an en-suite,” Price said.
“Let’s do it. It would be an easy one back for Fury. A massive opportunity for me and anything could happen.”
