‘I’M FIT’ SAYS SERGIO AFTER SCARE

- By STUART BRENNAN

SERGIO Aguero has declared himself fit and raring to go for City’s at Leicester. The Blues striker had a health scare in midweek when he suffered dizzy spells at half-time of Argentina’s friendly international defeat by Nigeria. Aguero was cleared by the national team doctors but underwent a thorough examination by City’s own medical staff after arriving back in Manchester on Wednesday.

And after the tests showed everything was fine, Aguero tweeted that he was in the clear and hopeful of being picked by Pep Guardiola for the trip to the King Power Stadium.

“All the tests they run on me – just for caution – turn out well, so I’m set to go for Saturday’s match. C’mon, City!!” he said in his message.

Aguero told Argentina’s team doctor he felt dizzy at half-time, after scoring in the first half, but contrary to initial reports, he did not lose consciousness.

There have been reports that he suffered a drop in blood pressure, which led to the light-headedness, but that has not been confirmed.

He missed the win at Chelsea last month after breaking a rib in a taxi accident in Amsterdam, but has since bounced back with a milestone moment for the Blues.

Aguero recently broke the club’s goalscoring record by notching the 178 goal of his Blues career in the 4-2 win at Napoli – and followed that with an important strike from the penalty spot in City’s last game, a 3-1 win over Arsenal.
