CITY bosses will hold talks with every player ahead of the January transfer window.

Pep Guardiola has been delighted with the attitude of his squad this season and chose his press conference ahead of tonight’s match to praise the ones that haven’t featured regularly in the first third of the season.

Eliaquim Mangala is one of those that has hinted at an uncertain future at the club, while Arsene Wenger has challenged City to produce an ‘incredible’ offer if they want Alexis Sanchez in January.

Guardiola has been impressed by Mangala’s attitude in wanting to improve, but said that the club will check in with every player to confirm what their position is as another transfer window approaches.

He said: “In the winter window and summer break we are going to ask everyone if they are happy or not, if they are comfortable being in the position they are - playing or not playing. They have to decide because the future will be like this. We always want players that want to stay here.”

With John Stones ruled out until January, Mangala will be hoping for a first Premier League start of the season tonight as the fixtures pile up. Guardiola confirmed that the Blues will need him in the upcoming period.

“He has his specific qualities and that is so important in the league sometimes. We’re going to use him when we believe we need him,” the City coach said.
