New move just the job for recruitment team

TALENTFUL HAS A GROWING ROSTER OF TECHNOLOGY CLIENTS INCLUDING SHAZAM AND THE TRAINLINE

A RECRUITMENT company is aiming to turn traditional practices on their head to bring a new model to the city.

Talentful sends its staff to work inhouse with clients to better understand company culture and find the type of people who would fit the business best.

Talentful has a growing roster of technology clients, including Shazam, Amazon, The Trainline, Depop, and Nutmeg.

But it has chosen Manchester, ahead of other European cities, an emerging tech hub.

The company, which was founded by Phil Blaydes and Chris Abbass in 2015, will move in with global workspace provider, WeWork, at Manchester’s Spinningfields, next month.

Abbass said: “We started Talentful just two years ago and are projecting a turnover of £3m for 2018.

“We have worked with over 100 companies and have also signed our first clients in New York, Berlin and Stockholm so we have ambitious plans to expand internationally.

“However, we wanted to set our sights on Manchester as our first physical move outside of London.

“Manchester is increasingly becoming the location of choice for the UK’s most exciting and innovative businesses, and we have also seen a trend in highly skilled talent choosing Manchester over London.”

Blaydes and Abbass believe the old model of recruitment is broken.

Abbas explained: “Our clients value our approach to recruitment because they receive a higher quality service, hire amazing candidates and see significant cost savings.

“Our clients pay a fixed monthly subscription for the duration of the project, regardless of how many hires are made. This works out at around 50 percent of a traditional recruitment agency fee and allows companies to forecast their recruitment spend effectively.

“Sometimes this actually means hiring less people than they originally thought, and sometimes it’s more, but they can be confident that we will find them the right talent for their business and we will save them money.”

Talentful hires across the full spectrum of the talent a technology business needs, with hiring specialists in technology, marketing, sales, operations and finance.
