Pogba: Alli’s worth over £100million

- By SAMUEL LUCKHURST

UNITED star Paul Pogba has revealed he thinks Tottenham player Dele Alli would be worth more than £100m in today’s transfer market.

The midfielder rejoined United from Juventus in an £89m deal last summer in a world-record transfer at the time.

Since his move to Old Trafford transfer fees have soared, with Brazil superstar Neymar moving to Paris Saint-Germain for £200m in August.

Pogba spoke about that transfer this week at the launch of sponsor Adidas’s new Predator boots, which was also attended by Spurs player Alli, and said he believed the England international is valued at £100m-plus.

He told the London Evening Standard: “I think he is worth even more than £100m because you see how he plays. He is very talented but still very young. But he is mature as well, you can see that in his football. He can deal with the talk. You can see he doesn’t care. He should, and will, focus on his football, and the rest, they will always speak.”

In a question and answer session to promote the new boots, Pogba admitted defensive drills are the least enjoyable part of pre-match preparations.

Pogba spoke to fans in London’s Oxford Street this week and was asked what he most enjoyed and disliked about training. “My favourite part is the game at the end of the session,” he said. “The worst is the same for everyone I think – the tactics. Defensive tactics because you just have to drill, you don’t have the ball.”
