HELEN TO CORRIE ON

-

CORONATION Street star Helen Flanagan has had her contract extended by soap bosses.

Helen, who plays Rosie Webster in the ITV soap, rejoined the show after five years away on a threemonth contract in January and the show extended her stint for the remainder of the year after she proved to be a big hit with viewers with her hilarious antics.

Her contract was due to expire this month, but fans will be thrilled to learn that the star will be sticking around into 2018 after agreeing to a contract extension.

Congratulations have poured in for Helen and her footballer partner Scott Sinclair after it was announced this week that they are expecting their second child.

The couple are parents to a twoyear-old daughter Matilda, who they welcomed in June 2015.

Carla Kompany, the wife of City captain Vincent Kompany, tweeted: “Ahh congrats guys xxx”

Helen, from Bury, rejoined Corrie in January in comical scenes which saw bubbly Rosie and sister Sophie, played by Brooke Vincent, unwittingly used as drugs mules.

Her former model character went on to work for her stepdad Tim Metcalfe’s window cleaner firm and bagged a job at Todd Grimshaw and Adam Barlow’s solicitor’s business.

This summer it was revealed that she had been brushing up on her acting skills by enrolling on a two-week course at RADA.

Helen said she had an “amazing time” at London’s prestigious Royal Academy for Dramatic Art, leading to speculation that she could be preparing to leave Corrie.

But we’ll be seeing ditzy Rosie on our screens for a while yet.
