Revealed... what Pep paid for his Salford pad

CITY boss Pep Guardiola’s Salford pad was one of the most expensive properties sold in Greater Manchester last year.

The Blues boss paid £2.7m for the apartment, not far from Manchester city centre, according to Land Registry documents.

As the M.E.N. reported earlier this year, the Spaniard shunned the lure of leafy Cheshire for the City Suites block in Salford.

The luxurious development is fast becoming known as one of the city’s ‘most desirable address’.

A host of City stars have reportedly made themselves at home there.

Pep’s pad – which he bought in March as a base for himself, wife Cristina and their children – was among the most expensive in the region sold last year.

Two other City Suites apartments were also in the top 15, selling for £2.5m and £2.15m. The swanky properties stand out among the usual clutch of Cheshire mansions around Hale and Bowdon. Two houses in Hale share the title of the most expensive property bought in Greater Manchester in 2017 – selling for a cool £3.5m each. Gainsborough in Park Drive sold for that sum on April 19 this year, with Little Court in Barrow Lane going for exactly the same price on October 13. All of the top five most expensive domestic properties were in Hale or neighbouring Bowdon. Third was Priory Farm on Bowdon’s Priory Lane, which sold for £3.2m on July 31. Fourth, at £3.16m, was 5 Stanhope Road in Bowdon, while fifth was 20 East Downs Road, also in Bowdon. That sold for £2.85m on June 6. Other sales of more than £2m included Knowsley Manor in Bolton, which changed hands for £2.75m
