Can you help families find missing people?

APPEAL FOR INFORMATIO­N AS RELATIVES SUFFER ANGUISH OVER THE FESTIVE PERIOD

FOR most people the festive period is a time shared with family, so having a loved one missing at this time of year can be particular­ly painful.

Working with Greater Manchester Police, the M.E.N. is sharing the stories of four people who have disappeare­d and who are desperatel­y missed.

Some went missing over recent months, while others have not been seen for many years.

Their families continue to go through anguish and pain.

Anyone who has informatio­n about these people are urged to call the police on 101, or alternativ­ely Crimestopp­ers, anonymousl­y, on 0800 555 111. LAST seen in person at about noon on Monday, December 17, 2017 on Sandileigh Avenue in Hale – the street where she lived.

CCTV footage showing mum-of-two Marie at Altrincham Metrolink station after leaving left her home has been released by GMP.

She took the 12.30pm tram to Manchester city centre and got off at Deansgate, before walking towards Castlefiel­d.

Marie was seen on CCTV near The Wharf pub at around 1.20pm the same day.

She walked across the footbridge in front of The Wharf before having a conversati­on with someone for around 20 seconds.

It is believed she was asking them for directions.

Marie then walked Castlefiel­d Bowl.

Her family made an emotional appeal in a bid to find her, revealing that Marie had been struggling to deal with the recent loss of her mum.

Her eldest son Stuart described her as a ‘wonderful mother’.

“She is really popular and liked by everyone,” he said.

“She’s well loved, a fantastic character – funny, nice and caring.”

Appealing directly to his mother to get in touch, Stuart added: “We want you home mum. We love you and we miss you.” off towards LAST seen on Monday, July 24, 2017

Geoffrey, a keen walker who suffers from dementia, is known to walk around the Hartshead Pike area, Debdale Park and along the canal from Clayton Vale to Daisy Nook.

He is white, slim, and around 5ft 6in with short, grey hair and a white beard.

He speaks with a Mancunian accent and was last seen wearing a black and grey raincoat with orange stripes on the sleeves.

At the time Geoffrey was also wearing brown/beige trousers, a navy pullover, brown Timberland boots and a soft, green corduroy cap.
