Man suffers horrific facial injuries after being hit on the dance floor in nightclub

A MAN suffered horrific facial injuries after being punched in a nightclub in Wigan.

The violent attack happened at Play and Rewind, formally Bamboogie, on King Street in the early hours of Friday, December 29.

A 22-year-old man suffered several facial fractures and was taken to hospital by paramedics.

Police said he had been on the dance floor when he was hit in the face by an unknown man.

The blow knocked him to the ground, and he was left with several facial fractures.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses to come forward with informatio­n.

An image of a man detectives want to speak to has also been released in the hope someone will recognise him.

A post on the GMP Wigan West page read: “On the morning of the December 29 at 2.30am an assault occurred at the Wigan nightclub Play and Rewind.

“A male victim, who was on the dance floor at the time of the incident, was struck and received severe facial injuries.”

A spokesman for GMP said the incident was reported to them just before 12.30pm that same day and confirmed no arrests had been made.
