UNITED target Malcom is learning English in his spare time – fuelling rumours he could be set for a big-money move to Old Trafford.

The 20-year-old has established himself as one of Europe’s hottest prospects at Bordeaux since joining the club from Corinthians two years ago.

The Brazilian winger has particularly caught the eye this season – scoring seven goals and creating four more – despite Les Girondins languishing in 15th place in Ligue 1. These kind of performances have attracted the attention of Jose Mourinho, who believes the No.7 could provide the ‘missing piece‘ in United’s attack, despite his tender years.

And it seems Malcom is preparing for life in England ahead of a possible £40m move this year. The youngster gave his 395,000 Instagram followers a glimpse into what he gets up to in his spare time ahead of flying out for Bordeaux’s French Cup game against Granville yesterday - and he is putting that time to good use.

Malcom was busy doing some written English language exercises as well as looking over his verbs and phrases, including ‘Good morning’ and ‘I’m’. Breaking his silence on those initial links with United, way back in May, the youngster was remaining calm.

“Even when I was at Corinthians these rumours were already happening,” he said.

“I have a calm mind about that, I have a focused thought on the pitch and I leave it to my agent and my family to take care of.

“Then, who knows, if a bid comes up I’ll think of leaving, but now I’ll just keep playing football.”
