Can you help this bride get extra buzz on wedding day?

- By ALEXANDRA RUCKI

A bride-to-be is planning a Mancunian-themed wedding - and she needs your help.

Louise Bolotin is tying the knot with partner Adrian Wilson on February 3.

A dressmaker is creating a vintage 1950s style dress for Louise’s bridal outfit and the plan is to stitch bee motifs onto the bodice.

Louise, a freelance journalist, and Adrian decided to have a Manches- ter-themed wedding following the Arena bombing on May 22, which claimed the lives of 22 people and left scores more injured.

Louise lives on Granby Row, where mass murderer Salman Abedi constructed his deadly device.

She said she felt a close connection with the city following the outpouring of support for those affected by the atrocity.

Louise and Adrian had discussed marriage early last year, but after the Arena attack decided it was time to set a date. The bride-to-be needs bees to have stitched onto her dress by January 26, when she is booked in for her last fitting.

Louise has struggled to find anywhere selling stitchable bee logos in the UK. She eventually tracked down a stockist in China, but was sent the wrong sizes - and now there’s not enough time for another lot to be delivered. So Louise is appealing for anybody who creates bee motifs, or anybody who can make them at short notice, to get in touch.

Louise told the M.E.N.: “If I don’t get them my dress will look really plain, I want to look lovely and glamorous.

“They need to be 2.5cm length and 3.5cm wide, it needs to look like the standard Manchester bee, small and yellow.

“I live in the building where the bomber built the bomb, I had the tattoo just afterwards.

“Last year we started talking about marriage. After the bomb it did feel more important and in August we decided to go ahead with it and get married.

“The bomb affected both of us and I still get emotional about it.”
