Man faces attempted murder charge
A MAN has been charged with attempted murder after a woman and a man were stabbed on Christmas Day.
Devenn Sutherman, 25, of Nelson Square, Bolton, has also been charged with aggravated burglary and a section 47 assault (ABH).
Police were called to Corner Lane in Hindley, Wigan, at 3.30am on Monday, December 25, to reports a man and woman had been stabbed during a burglary at their home.
The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries and is now recovering, police say.
A GMP spokesman confirmed yesterday: “Devenn Sutherman of Nelson Square, Bolton, has been charged with attempted murder, aggravated burglary and a section 47 assault.
“He has been remanded into custody and will appear at Manchester magistrates court on Saturday, 13 January, 2018.
“Shortly before 3.30am on Monday, 25 December, police were called to an address on Corner Lane in Hindley to reports that a man and a woman had been stabbed. Both victims are recovering.”
