Hundreds of cannabis plants found by police
SEVERAL hundred cannabis plants were discovered when police raided a property in Rochdale.
The drug farm was found by officers when they searched an address in the Newhey area of Milnrow.
The plants were recovered and will now be destroyed, according to a post on the GMP Rochdale Facebook page yesterday.
The message was accompanied by a photograph of the cannabis factory.
The image shows rows of plants squeezed into a room, with wires hanging from the ceiling. A fan is seen wedged amongst the plant pots.
The post, put up at 4pm yesterday, said: “A warrant has been executed in the Newhey area of Rochdale and several hundred cannabis plants recovered to be destroyed.
“An offender identified and will be dealt with by officers from the Neighbourhood Policing Team.”
