The collision involved a black Volkswagen Golf and happened on Rochdale Road, in Blackley, at around 8.15am on Saturday. A temporary road closure was put in place to recover the vehicle and clear up oil and diesel. Motorists were diverted along Middleton Old Road.
A GMP spokesperson said: “We were called to Rochdale Road at 8.15am to reports that a car hit a wall. The collision involved a Volkswagen Golf and the driver left the scene.”
