The end is nigh for evil Phelan...

-

CORONATION Street has travelled to West Cumbria to film Pat Phelan’s exit scenes in the ITV1 soap. The ITV1 crew and stars Connor McIntyre and Sue Cleaver have set up on Whitehaven harbourside, near the town’s lighthouse, as the end draws near for Corrie killer Phelan.

According to reports, the twisted villain will meet a disturbing end when he falls to his death off a cliff in a dramatic showdown with his wife Eileen after the bodies of his victims are discovered.

The Corrie baddie has terrorised his Weatherfield neighbours for years with dastardly crimes committed under the nose of his unsuspecting wife – but viewers will be comforted to learn that justice will be served.

Locals have been delighted to spot the soap baddie with some taking to social media to share photos of actor Connor out and about in Whitehaven.

Marie Jackson, posting a picture of herself with the soap star, tweeted: “Connor McIntyre aka Pat Phelan on location in Whitehaven lovely man.”

And Clare commented: “Howling at everyone meeting phelan off corrie filming in whitehaven.”

Viewers have been wondering for a long time when Phelan, played by Connor McIntyre, might finally be caught after raping Anna Windass and killing Andy Carver, Vinny Ashford and most recently Luke Britton.

Fans were reeling as Phelan shot mechanic Luke before leaving him to die in a fireball in his own car.

Last year he made his hostage Andy shoot fellow hostage Vinny – before turning the gun on Andy in gruesome soap scenes.

And recently his enemy Anna, who he previously blackmailed into sleeping with him, was locked up for five years after Phelan framed her for pushing Seb Franklin off a ladder.

His unsuspecting wife Eileen, played by Sue Cleaver, came close to believing Anna’s version of events, until a video of Gary and window cleaner Tim Metcalfe appearing to intimidate Seb was exposed during her trial leaving fans frustrated that he remained a free man.

Speaking on This Morning Gary Windass actor Mikey North confirmed Phelan’s exit, saying: “I think Gary and Nicola have concocted a plan to infiltrate Phelan’s life.

“Gary’s got a job now working on the mill with Phelan. Now I’m going to find out what he’s hiding down there and that’s going to run for the next couple of months.”

Coronation Street has declined to comment on future storyline speculation.
