Sophie wants dress to impress fiancé Shayne
THEY got engaged on Boxing Day – and Corrie star Shayne Ward and Sophie Austin are already excitedly planning their big day.
And now Sophie has been spotted checking out wedding dresses as she headed to a huge wedding exhibition in Cheshire at the weekend.
Former X Factor winner Shayne and ex-Hollyoaks actress Sophie revealed they were engaged at Christmas time, with Sophie showing off her sparkling engagement ring in images on social media.
And last week the couple spoke to OK! magazine about their wedding plans, with Sophie saying she was happy to let Shayne do all the organising – as long as she could pick the dress! It looks like she was making good on that vow – with pictures of Sophie and her pals looking at all of the wedding dresses on display at Bride: The Wedding Show held at Tatton Park at the weekend. Sophie, whose most recent TV role was in BBC hit drama Call the Midwife, was in radiant form as she was pictured around the show, set in the grounds of the stately home near Knutsford.
In the interview with OK!, Sophie revealed the couple may look abroad for their wedding location. She said: “I’ve always wanted to get married in Vegas. If I had the choice of planning a wedding, I’d rather have a nap! Shayne is better at organising things than I am. As long as I can pick my dress, I’m happy to leave the rest to him.”
Naturally, as the doting parents to one-year-old Willow, they are hoping the adorable tot will have a big role in the wedding as well. Sophie said in the magazine: “Having Willow walk down the aisle with me will just make my day.”
