Read on for some great examples of places to go this month.

MIND, BODY & SPIRIT

The Mind, Body & Spirit Event returns to Stockport Masonic Guildhall on February 10 and 11, bringing together an excellent array of more than 60 exhibitors, including international mediums, healers and retailers in this genre.

Some of the names in attendance include Simon Goodfellow, Melinda Cooper, Stephanie J. King and many, many more.

Each day runs from 10am until 5pm, with workshops extending until 6pm. All of the 30+ workshops are included in the entrance fee, including Laughter Yoga, Tai Chi, Mediumship and Meditations.

The final workshop on both days will be the Animal Healing Workshop, which is run by international animal communicator Sky Heartsong. For more information, call 07828 187 468 or visit www.rosemarydouglas. com

BLACKPOOL COMES TO OLDHAM

Opening from Friday, February 9 the annual event is set to be one of the most spectacular yet with over 25 thrilling rides and attractions!

As always there’s also entertainment undercover too with the mini beach in an air-conditioned marquee so even if it is a little chilly outside, children can build the perfect sandcastle or mum and dad can sit back and relax with a hot drink and cake while the thrill seekers head outside to sample an amazing array of attractions. This year the rides that will dominate the skyline are more spectacular than ever and great value too with an unlimited ride wristband, starting at just £5.99. And new for 2018 is the amazing Voodoo Revenge - the first time the ride has appeared at the fun park and is one of only two in the UK - and the popular and muchloved King Swing is back this year too! The most spectacular attraction though will be the Air Maxx, a monster of a ride brought in from Holland which features eight somersaulting seats spinning 48 metres high through a full 360-degree loop. Blackpool Comes to Oldham wouldn’t be the same without its iconic Giant Wheel, which is back once again this year, standing at over 35 metres and the attraction will offer some amazing views for miles. There is also the thrilling Twister, the Snow Storm which simulates a high speed Bob Sleigh run and back for 2018 after missing last year are the ever popular Waltzers.
