KEVIN de Bruyne did not hold back when asked about his likeness to City team-mate Aleks Zinchenko.

The Ukrainian has had an increasingly regular presence in the first-team since impressing manager Pep Guardiola with his attitude in November, and the duo have started five of the last nine games together.

That has caused problems for anyone not fully concentrating on the action as the two move just like each other.

After collecting the club prize for January player of the month, De Bruyne was taking fan question when he was asked what he thought about his ‘twin’ Zinchenko.

“He’s definitely not my twin brother,” he answered in typical deadpan fashion.

“I always say to him I am already married so I’m ok.”

In an illuminating Q&A, the 26-year-old also spoke about not caring if his son grows up to be a footballer, getting nicknamed Harry (after the prince) in Manchester and compared his game to retired Brazilian great Kaka.

Ilkay Gundogan has spoken recently about the camaraderie in the squad.

“In the dressing room it just feels like everybody is the same, if you’re injured or not playing much,” he said.

“It doesn’t really matter, everyone treats everyone with a lot of respect, especially the team this season it’s even more special.

“The atmosphere in the team, I appreciate it a lot.” JOHN Stones hit out at the Wigan fans who taunted City players – with one becoming involved in an altercation with Sergio Aguero – after Monday’s shock FA Cup defeat.

Blues players had to run a gauntlet of abuse, and striker Aguero was approached by one Latics supporter. The Argentine fended the fan off and then reacted angrily, having to be restrained by Wigan defender Chey Dunkley.

Stones said he fully understood the exuberance of the home fans having pulled off a huge cup upset, having been a Barnsley player at the start of his career, but said the invasion went too far.

“It is never nice to see that happen if the opposition team is on the end of it, but we were on the end of it this time,” he said. “Obviously the home fans were coming onto the pitch. It is never nice to see.

“I don’t want that to take away from the game. I thought we were dominant and should have come out with something else.

“It was a big night, as you could see the fans were on the pitch at the end, which I personally don’t like seeing for any team.

“It is never good. But they have won the game. I am a bit lost for words. I’m massively disappointed we have not gone to the next round.”

Stones says City will now suck up the hurt – and the heart – of a shock reverse which ended their hopes of winning all four trophies.

While he conceded that the result had been ‘massively disappointing,’ he said the fact City had utterly dominated the game after Fabian Delph’s red card was a plus.

“There was just massive disappointment in the dressing room,” said Stones. “We felt we should have got something out of the game, at least taken the game back to the Etihad. “That’s been cut short now, the run in all four competitions, which we wanted to be in, right until the end, fighting for everything. The overall feeling is that we’re massively disappointed. “We have got to look at the game and make sure we take everything from it, good and bad. “I think that is how we move forward and bounce back quick because we’ve got the chance to win some silverware at the weekend. “I felt we stayed strong mentally and played our game. I think everyone could see we were still the dominant team and creating chances, playing how everyone has seen us play all season. “It is disappointing for me personally to see them come away with a 1-0 win. “They’ve had hardly any chances on goal.” John Stones
