A HUGE brawl broke out at a house party in a leafy suburb after the event was advertised on Facebook and gatecrashers turned up.

The intruders pitched up after seeing a post about the party in Hale Barns on social media on Saturday night, and forced their way into the home uninvited, police said.

A massive fight erupted and officers were called to the house, on Hale Road, at about 12.30am on Sunday.

By the time they arrived, the offenders had run away from the scene.

A 16-year-old was taken to hospital with minor injuries, police said.

One girl, who claims she was at the party, told the M.E.N. it turned into ‘utter chaos.’

She said: “Around 100 were invited and each were sent a picture as a way of getting into the party. There were bouncers at the entrance to the house checking people had the picture.

“But people started sharing the picture with others who weren’t invited so it ended up with around 60 more people turning up. It turned into utter chaos. There were chairs thrown from the balcony onto the floor which smashed tiles. There were quite a few fights too.

“There was also graffiti sprayed on the walls. It was awful. It got completely out of hand. It’s so sad people have absolutely no respect and do something like that.

“The boy whose party it was is a really nice person too. I feel so bad for him.”

No arrests have yet been made but police are continuing to investigate the incident, a GMP spokesman said.

He said: “Shortly before 12.25am on Sunday, March 4, police were called to Hale Road in Hale Barns to reports that a large fight was taking place at a house party.

“It was further reported that the fight had started after the offenders had forced their way into the property uninvited.

“Police attended a short time later but the offenders had fled the scene.”

GMP Trafford South first reported on the incident on their Facebook page on Sunday.

During a round-up of the weekend’s crimes, they posted: “Large scale fight after party is announced on Facebook attracting uninvited guests. Crime recorded for assault and investigation is ongoing.”

Hale Road is a main route running from Altrincham to the M56 and passes through Hale Barns.
