Where is the worst road in the region?

-

THE Manchester Evening News has launched a competition to end all others.

We want to find Greater Manchester’s worst road.

And once we’ve found it, we will present the road with an award. Seriously. From shoddy shale streets to horrible haggard highways, we want to know which road you find the most unacceptable.

We know you all care about this issue. We know that all too well.

You’ve hit us with a slew of emails and messages about popped tyres and wonky axles in the last few months as the region’s highways take the brunt of the winter weather.

Potholes have appeared on motorways, dual carriageways, A-roads and residential streets up and down Greater Manchester.

One half-mile stretch had 70 holes in it. None have quite reached the massive proportions of the Mancunian Way sinkhole... yet.

We know you’ve got the energy to criticise our shoddy highways until your last breath.

This is your chance to make it count. Don’t just moan about it, vote and let’s make it official.

The winner of the glamorous, inaugural Manchester Evening News award for The Region’s Worst Road will be presented with a special prize – no expense spared.

We’ll also ask the relevant council to fix it. You can nominate your road by commenting on our Facebook page facebook.com/ ManchesterEveningNews.

The top five comments with the most likes will be put to a public vote to crown the winner of Greater Manchester’s Worst Road 2018.
