Everyone’s flipping out over Craig

-

SIGHTINGS of a man pounding the pavements in a pair of flippers have been causing a stir on social media.

For months, confusion has surrounded the man seen marching all over Manchester in footwear usually reserved for the water.

The M.E.N. can now reveal the mystery flipper man as Urmston dad Craig Keatley, who is training for an epic coast-to-coast 200-mile flipper walk across England. He has been training since last summer and is raising money for The Christie.

The 48-year-old, has been the subject of many a Facebook post after being spotted in his shorts and flippers all over Manchester.

The dad-of-two says it’s not uncommon for people to wind down their car windows and start filming him, or stopping to make a donation to the Christie.

“I train all over Manchester and the north west,” he said.

“It is probably one of the most random things you’ll ever see.”

Craig will walk from Hull to Liverpool by flipper on Sunday, May 6.
