Injured quartet won’t face Seagulls

- By CHARLOTTE DUNCKER

UNITED are still without four firstteam players for tonight’s FA Cup game against Brighton.

Jose Mourinho confirmed there would be no changes to the squad which lost to Sevilla in the Champions League as no players had returned from injury.

“No, not yet. [The squad is] exactly the same [as Sevilla],” he told MUTV.

That means United are still without Marcos Rojo, Ander Herrera, Daley Blind and Phil Jones, while Zlatan Ibrahimovic is also a doubt.

Despite training ahead of the Sevilla game, the Swede was not part of the match-day squad.

Herrera has been sidelined since the first leg against Sevilla after picking up a hamstring injury, while Blind is recovering from an ankle injury.

Brighton boss Chris Hughton confirmed full-back Gaetan Bong and midfielder Dale Stephens are doubts due to injury and Anthony Knockaert is suspended having been sent off against Everton last weekend.

Steve Sidwell is also unavailable due to a back injury.

Mourinho will be hoping his players can bounce back after the disappointing defeat in the Champions League and admitted he had been pleased with how his players had reacted.

“I’m happy with what I saw in my players after the match, I’m happy that people were sad, that people were frustrated,” he said.
