New recruits will spread the word on making the city grow

-

PRO-MANCHESTER has announced two new recruits who will play a pivotal role in its growth strategy.

Mel Hill joins as communications manager and Ilona Alcock takes up the post of sector group manager.

Hill brings PR, marketing and web expertise gained from working in well known Manchester organisations UKFast and ForeverManchester.

Following the launch of pro-manchester’s new website and branding earlier this year, Hill will continue to raise the profile of the organisation and create engaging content for members and the wider business community.

She said: “I have instantly felt at home with the team at pro-manchester and am delighted to have joined at such a busy time.

“I’m looking forward to making sure everyone in Manchester knows about the great work we do.”

Alcock, previously employer liaison consultant at the University of Salford, has previously worked in law, technology and recruitment so is well placed to understand the challenges faced in different sectors.

Ilona said: “I have been an advocate of pro-manchester since relocating to the North West and am so excited to join the team to drive the sector programme forward.

“The enthusiasm across all the committees is so inspiring.

“And it’s refreshing to see such commitment to making Manchester a better place for everyone to do business.”
