Housewives have a Real-ly great time at ‘gay pride’ day

-

NO one quite throws a party like Real Housewives of Cheshire star Dawn Ward. And when she decided to host her own Gay Pride festival in the grounds of her palatial Warford Hall home in Cheshire, it was a truly spectacular affair.

The fabulous and flamboyant festival was all being filmed for the finale episode of the seventh series of the Real Housewives, which returned to ITVBe last month.

All of Dawn’s co-stars were there, although many were hard to spot at first thanks to the zany 1970s fancy dress.

Model and singer Nermina PietersMekic was in eye-popping form dressed as a Rio Carnival-style showgirl in a teeny bra top and huge feathered headdress, completed with a pink wig.

Meanwhile best pals Seema Malhotra and Stacey Forsey were inspired by the 1970s theme, with Seema rocking disco curls and a huge rainbowcoloured coat, while Stacey rocked a pink wig and sparking jumpsuit.

Guest housewife Christine McGuinness showed off her model figure in denim cut-off hotpants and a bejewelled bra top for a hippy chick look.

Christine, wife of Take Me Out star Paddy, looked to be having a right old giggle with blonde bombshell Ester Dee in her bra top and silver disco pants, alongside WAG Tanya Bardsley in a retro hot pink ballet skirt with cowboy boots.

And how about Lauren Simon and Rachel Lugo going full on Abba in their retro jumpsuits?

Not to be outshone, of course, Dawn made a spectacular arrival to the party in a retro convertible, surrounded by strapping chaps, balloons and a host of her gay pals – including her besties Nick Malenko and Royston Blythe who were dressed as Vegas showgirls.

Dawn wore a psychedelic catsuit with glittering hotpants and a headband, while her ex-footballer hubby Ashley matched in a dayglo striped blazer and tie.

Dawn told the M.E.N. at the start of the series how she would be celebrat- ing her gay friends in the new series. She said at the time: “Everyone knows I love my gay friends. I’ve got 15 close friends and 13 of them are gay, so it’s important for me that I show them all on camera.

“There’s going to be lots of them in this series. I’ve filmed a lot with Nick and Royston, I feel so confident and secure around them.”

Also joining the revels at Warford Hall were a host of Dawn and Ashley’s celebrity friends, including model Charlotte Dawson and her rugby player boyfriend Matt Sarsfield, and property entrepreneur Jude Cisse.
