Les’s girl is cut out for world of fashion!
CHARLOTTE LAUNCHES DEBUT COLLECTION
MODEL and TV personality Charlotte Dawson is turning fashion entrepreneur – with the launch of her debut fashion collection, FredaFunk. Charlotte launched her new label with a glitzy party at Menagerie at New Bailey, with a host of her star pals in attendance.
Many were wearing the new fashion range, which Charlotte says is inspired by her love of flamboyant outfits. Charlotte, the daughter of late, great Manc comedy icon Les Dawson, says she hopes her dad would be proud of her new business venture. And she ensured Les was there in spirit – by bringing along a cardboard cut-out of her beloved dad to take pride of place at the catwalk show on Sunday night. Charlotte has launched the venture with her friend Kirsty Fieldhouse with the duo aiming to create “unique fashion for fabulous females around the world.” Guests at the launch included Love Island’s Olivia Buckland rocking FredaFunk’s denim minidress for the occasion, alongside Love Island couple Gabby Allen and Marcel Somerville. Charlotte was also joined by her good pals and fellow entrepreneurs Jude Cisse and Clare Merry at the Menagerie party.
Also looking dapper at the bash were Manchester’s showbiz twins, former Emmerdale star Adam Thomas and former Love Island star brother Scott Thomas.
Charlotte was also supported at the launch by her rugby player boyfriend Matt Sarsfield.
The debut range includes denim jumpsuits, dresses, sparkling knitted tops and jackets, with plans to expand further in months to come.
Guests at the bash got to see a sneak peek of the new collection, including acid bright coloured dresses, crop tops and trousers as well as a range of designer distressed denims.
The girls say they are ‘working hard to offer high-end fashion, adding edge, class, funk and so much more to all the fabulous women out there and helping them to embrace who they are.’
