So who will get a medal for winning the title?

CITY are set to receive their Premier League winner’s medals, along with the trophy, after the home game against Huddersfield on May 6.

But who will get one – and who could miss out on one of world football’s greatest prizes?

It used to be the case that a player had to play in ten matches, either from the start or as a substitute, to qualify for a medal.

But the Premier League has halved the qualification to five, and even then players who do not make the cut can still be awarded a medal.

The simple fact is City will get 40 medals to distribute as they see fit – as long as every player who has played in at least five games gets one.

That means Eliaquim Mangala, who tucked nine appearances under his belt before being loaned to Everton in January, is sure to get one.

Yaya Toure, Aymeric Laporte and Aleks Zinchenko have also already qualified for one, but there is a handful of players who – as it stands – will not automatically qualify.

Pep Guardiola could well change that by handing further games to some of those who have not yet played five games basically Claudio Bravo (1), Brahim Diaz (3), Phil Foden (3) and Benjamin Mendy (4).

If they all get one, that will account for 24 medals, leaving 16 for the club to distribute at their discretion.

Pep Guardiola will get one, along with his eight-man coaching staff – who gets one after that has yet to be decided.
