Reds fan Amy Shaw did have 18th birthday to remember

LUKE Shaw gave a United fan an 18th birthday to remember as he invited her into his box for the game against West Brom at Old Trafford.
Amy Pustelnik dedicates her time to running a Shaw fan-page on Instagram – and it hasn’t gone unnoticed by her idol.
Earlier in the season the Reds leftback took the teenager on a surprise tour of Old Trafford and he and his girlfriend both follow the page she set up for him.
But Amy, who lives in Nottingham, never expected to receive a once-in-alifetime gift from her hero for her landmark birthday.
Shaw marked her milestone by sending her a bouquet of flowers and balloons to her home along with the note: ‘Happy Birthday Amy, hope you are having an amazing day, and looking forward to the match at the weekend.’

these flowers with a note from Luke, I was on the verge of tears, it was such a nice thing to do.” “You wouldn’t expect footballers to be that thoughtful with their fans, I really was amazed.” Shaw found out the teenager’s address after he gave her tickets for his box as a Christmas present. Amy had sent Shaw and his girlfriend, Anouska Santos, presents at Christmas and as a thank you and a present to her he had offered Amy two seats in his box for a game of her choice.
And the 18-year-old decided on the Premier League home game against West Brom.
Despite the disappointing result, it certainly was a game to remember for Amy as she watched it alongside Shaw’s family, girlfriend and friends.
“They all made me feel like royalty and made me feel so welcome, I just couldn’t believe it.
“Everybody was so nice and Luke even arranged for a cake to be brought in at half-time and everybody sang to me,” Amy said. “It was all a bit overwhelming, I just couldn’t believe he would sort all that out, it’s so kind.”
Shaw wasn’t in the squad for the defeat against West Brom but made sure he went and said hello to Amy before he left the stadium.
“He made a special effort to come and see me before he left which was so nice, I just can’t believe the whole thing,” Amy added.
“They say you shouldn’t meet your idol, but meeting mine was the best thing that’s happened and he continues to make me even happier each day.”
