NAMES of players from United and Chipping Sodbury will appear on the official match ball for today’s FA Cup final.

The names of 137 goalscorers from this season’s competition appear on the so-called ‘Ball for All’, to mark the 137th anniversary of the showpiece fixture.

They include the Reds’ Alexis Sanchez and Chelsea’s Willian, who are both set to feature in the final, along with players from the extra-preliminary round including Liam Pullen, who scored Chipping Sodbury’s first goal in the competition.

Pullen, who will have the added honour of presenting the official match ball before kick-off, said: “To have played and scored in my club’s first ever Emirates FA Cup match back in August was a dream come true and one of the highlights of my career to date.

“It’s an honour for my name to feature on the Ball for All and to be asked to carry it out at Wembley Stadium ahead of the final is going to be extra special.

“I’m really looking forward to the experience and will be very proud to be representing all of the players who have scored in this season’s competition.”

Meanwhile, United fans will be part of a choir which will sign the traditional FA Cup final hymn Abide with Me at Wembley today.

Supporters from 14 clubs from across the football pyramid were invited to be part of the ‘For All’ choir and will sing alongside four singers from the RAF.
