/Have your own Boston tea party with Virgin...

-

VIRGIN Atlantic is giving Mancunians the chance to fly to Boston for the price of a cup of tea, to celebrate the return of direct flights,

On Friday (June 1) 50 lucky people will be able to secure a return flight to Boston for £3.95 – providing they swot up on the famous University town first.

Inspired by the Boston Tea Party, Virgin Atlantic Cabin Crew will arrive at Richmond Tea Rooms, ready to quiz willing participants on an array of Boston trivia.

Two entrants will go head to head, answering a series of questions about the Massachusetts city, before one can unlock the £3.95 price – the cost of a pot of tea in the Richmond Tea Rooms.

Cabin crew will be at the tea room from 9am, and the prize is based on a three night trip, with travel every Wednesday to Saturday in June.

Claire Cronin, senior vice president of marketing at Virgin Atlantic, said: “Manchester is such an important hub for Virgin Atlantic and we’re delighted to be bringing back our Boston service for a second year.

“It’s our biggest ever summer flying from the city and I don’t think there’s a better way to celebrate than offering this very special deal, just for Manchester locals. So, if you know your Red Sox from your Celtics, your Harvard from your MIT and your Fenway Park from your Faneuil Hall you could be one of the lucky people to secure a special fare.”

Virgin Atlantic is the only airline to offer direct flights between Manchester and Boston - and when not selling flights for the cost of a cup of brew - fares start from £332. Flights operate on Wednesday and Saturdays with a choice of Upper Class, Premium, and Economy cabins.
