Wedding bells for our Helen

-

PREGNANT actress Helen Flanagan has been showing off her sparkling engagement ring and new brunette hairstyle after announcing her engagement to footballer Scott Sinclair. Messages of congratulations have been pouring in for the Coronation Street star after she revealed that Celtic star Scott got down on one knee and proposed at Disneyland Paris - and fans remarked that she was “glowing” as she walked the red carpet with her man at the British Soap Awards in a figure hugging white dress by Gorgeous Courture.

Ahead of the event, the Bury soap star, who is due to give birth this month, switched from blonde to brunette, and she thanked her hair stylist pal Jay Birmingham for the colour change, saying on her Instagram: “Fancied a change thank you Jay Birmingham for taking me brunette.”

Helen shared the exciting news of her engagement by posting romantic snaps on her Instagram.

One photo showed the moment Celtic FC player Scott went down on one knee in front of Cinderell’a Castle as Helen grinned down at him adoringly.

Another photo showed her holding their daughter Matilda while showing off her sparkler of a ring with the words, “Mummy and Daddy are getting married”. Sharing a picture of Matilda with Scott she said: “My number ones and baby girl bump. My husband-to-be and my two girls.”

And in a video posted on her social media, Helen shows off her jewels as Can You Feel The Love Tonight? from The Lion King plays in the background.

One fan commented: “So happy for you @hjgflanagan you make a beautiful family.”

Helen, 27, has now left Coronation Street on maternity leave and is preparing for the arrival of her second child with Scott. Her character Rosie will be depart the cobbles on Friday after bagging an appearance on This Morning as guests of Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield.

She will then be seen jetting of to Japan after she’s offered a job on a TV game show there.

Viewers have seen Rosie attempt to wangle herself a modelling job only to discover that her ex-boyfriend Antoine, the one who planted drugs on her when she flew back to Weatherfield, is involved in the photo shoot.

Helen, who gave birth to daughter Matilda in 2015, is hoping to return after maternity leave. She returned to Weatherfield as Rosie in February last year in comical scenes which saw the model and sister Sophie, played by Brooke Vincent, unwittingly used as drugs mules.

In December Helen revealed that she and Scott were expecting their second child.
