Taylor Swift fans left fuming

YOUNG Taylor Swift fans have been left devastated after their front seats for the popstar’s Manchester show were taken away from them.

A number of fans who purchased tickets for the star’s Reputation Tour at the Ethiad Stadium, taking place tonight and Saturday, said they received emails Wednesday night from Ticketmaster saying their seat numbers have changed.

Customers who were due to watch the show from front seats were told they have been reallocated to several blocks further back due to ‘stadium problems’.

It is believed there has been a problem with stage calculations and now people seated near the front have been switched to seats towards the back.

Fans said they paid hundreds of pounds to sit at the front and are now gutted they will have to watch the Look What You Made Me Do singer’s show from further away.

Ticketmaster is understood to have sent text messages and emails to affected customers at 8.01pm on Wednesday.

And customers are especially angry that tickets close to the front were still for sale yesterday morning. Sarah Day bought tickets as an early birthday present for her 10-year-old daughter, Lilia, in row A in block 128 – but discovered they have been moved to row 109, row D and will be separated from their friends.

The mum from York told the M.E.N: “Four of us are going, the tickets cost £540 in total. We have been moved 16 blocks behind, we will now be separated from our friends – that is annoying for the kids.

“It was her first stadium tour, you are aged 10, you have got seats at the front, you have told everybody and you are so excited and then you are told actually no, you are going to be at the back. It is just gutting.”

Cassie Bell, of Doncaster, purchased tickets to sit on row A in block 130 with her 14-year-old niece – but has been moved to row P in block 123. She said: “My brother bought the tickets, they were £210. We were excited, for me I thought it would be good to sit at the front as nobody is going to stand infront of us.”

Alice Cachia, 23, a journalist, was due to sit in block 128 in row A and paid £267 for a pair of tickets. She was given new tickets at the back of the stadium, but after calling Ticketmaster she managed to get new seats towards the front. Alice said: “It is just diabolical. The new seats are closer to the front but not tiered seating.”

The M.E.N. has contacted Ticketmaster for a comment.
