DETECTIVES investigating the murder of Manchester rapper Miguel ‘Migz’ Reynolds have made a second arrest.

Police confirmed a 26-year-old woman from Maghull in Merseyside has been detained on suspicion of assisting an offender.

She was being questioned by officers on Monday.

A 21-year-old man from Manchester arrested on Saturday on suspicion of murder and conspiracy to rob in connection with his death also remained in police custody.

Known to friends as Migz, 21-yearold Mr Reynolds, from central Manchester, performed under the alias ‘Lil Gwop Boy’ and had just released a music video on YouTube.

He died in hospital after a gunman opened fire in Netherton, Sefton, Merseyside, on Thursday night.

A post-mortem examination found he died as a result of a gunshot wound to the neck.

Tributes to Mr Reynolds continue to flood in on social media. The video, which features another artist known as ‘Nomanners,’ was released on May 30, just days before the shooting.

Murder squad detectives have revealed officers are also investigating reports that shots were fired at another location nearby prior to the murder.

They said the firearms discharge could be linked to the attack on Mr Reynolds.

There were no reports of injuries, although detectives said it was possible there was an ‘altercation in the road.’

Announcing the latest arrest Merseyside Police said in a statement on Sunday: “Detectives investigating the murder of Miguel Reynolds have arrested a 26-year-old woman from Maghull on suspicion of assisting an offender.

“She has been taken into police custody for questioning.

“A 21-year-old man from Manchester arrested on Saturday, also in connection with this incident, remains in police custody.”

A spokesman confirmed both the man and woman remained in custody on Monday morning.
