Cole urges Reds to go on attack

-

UNITED great Andrew Cole believes the club do not need to buy any more attackers to catch City next season – but they do need to change their style of play.

The Reds finished 19 points behind champions City last season and Jose Mourinho has already started work on closing the gap next season.

The United boss has signed defender Diogo Dalot from Porto and a deal for Brazilian midfielder Fred should be fully completed imminently.

Treble-winner Cole, pictured, believes United already have all the attacking talent they need they need just need to change their style.

Asked by M.E.N. Sport if Mourinho should be targeting a forward in this transfer window, Cole said: “I think we’ve got more than enough attacking players. If we can go out there and create more chances and score more goals then they will be fine.

“I think he (Mourinho) needs to change his style but only time will tell. If he’s gong to close the gap on City and the other teams who are going to try and catch them it is about creating and scoring as many goals as possible.

“No doubt he will address that situation in the summer.”
