Chaos - and there’s thunder on the way

Meanwhile, a barrage of thunder, lightning and hail is set to batter Greater Manchester this weekend. Forecaster­s have said to expect the miserable conditions tomorrow as a weather front of low pressure from the Atlantic moves into the region. There will be a period of heavy rain, possible thunder and lightning as well as hail.

However, there is some welcome relief from the unsettled weathers as forecaster­s have said it is likely to disappear by tomorrow afternoon.

There may still be some light showers, but later on there will be some dry and sunny spells.

Temperatur­es are expected to reach highs of 17C to 18C and it will feel pleasant during periods of sunshine.

Sunday is the best day to get out and about this weekend as forecaster­s have said there will be a marked improvemen­t in the weather conditions.

It will be a much drier day, with lots of sunny spells. Forecaster­s have said to expect highs of 18C to 19C.
