Bury and Oldham at home for starters

BURY and Oldham will both begin their bids to bounce straight back up to League One next season at home.

The Shakers are preparing for life back in League Two following a disappoint­ing campaign last season that saw them finish bottom of the League One table.

Ryan Lowe’s men open with the visit of Yeovil on August 4.

The two games against local rivals Oldham will take place at Boundary Park on Saturday, December 15 and at Gigg Lane on Saturday, February 23.

Over the festive period, Bury have a Boxing Day clash with Mansfield at Field Mill, before the Shakers host Crewe Alexandra on New Year’s Day.

OLDHAM are in League Two for the first time since 1971, and they will be kicking off their campaign at home to MK Dons.

Latics will take on one of their former manager’s over Christmas as they are away to John Sheridan’s Carlisle United side on Boxing Day, before they’re back at Boundary Park on New Year’s Day for the visit of Notts County.

The last away game of the season is against Exeter City on Saturday, April 27, while Frankie Bunn’s side finish the campaign at home to Northampto­n on May 4.

ROCHDALE only secured their League One survival on the final day of the campaign, sending Oldham down in the process.

Keith Hill’s side will start the season at Burton Albion, before welcoming Peterborou­gh United to the Crown Oil Arena for the first home game of the new campaign a week later.

The Christmas period sees Dale at home to with Blackpool on Boxing Day. Rochdale start 2019 away to Doncaster Rovers on New Year’s Day.

An away game against Charlton Athletic on May 4 will end Rochdale’s season.

Newly-promoted MACCLESFIE­LD TOWN begin their League Two campaign with a trip to Swindon.

Their first EFL game back at the Moss Rose is on Saturday, August 11 against Grimsby.

Macc have a Boxing Day trip to Notts County, and the Silkmen will then take on Tranmere Rovers at home on New Year’s Day.

Macclesfie­ld end the season with a home game against Cambridge United.

WIGAN ATHLETIC are back in the Championsh­ip following their promotion and they kickoff the campaign at home to Sheffield Wednesday.

Over Christmas they head to West Brom on Boxing Day, and are at home to Sheffield United on New Year’s Day. They end their season with a home game against Millwall.

BOLTON WANDERERS pulled off heroics on the final day to remain in the Championsh­ip, and they begin with a trip to the Hawthorns to face West Brom.

They host Rotherham on Boxing Day and head to Hull City on New Year’s Day, before finishing the season with an away game against Nottingham Forest.
