Deansgate, Manahatta plans to bring a taste of New York to Manchester.
With two venues in Leeds, they specialise in New York-style cocktails (plenty of Cosmos and Manhattans) and hearty American food.
Expect pancakes, burgers, fried chicken, steaks, and huge brunches when it opens later this year.

We’ll give you three guesses where Hip Hop Chip Shop are opening their first proper restaurant.
Okay, we’ll just tell you - it’s another one for Ancoats.
They have been feeding the residents of Manchester with all the good fried stuff - proper fish and chips as well as vegetarian and vegan versions - through street food events and kitchen take overs for years now, but this will be their first bricks-andmortar venture of their own.
They’re currently running a GoFundMe campaign, where you can buy a meal in advance for yourself or for a homeless person, to help fund the Sawmill Court restaurant.
The plan is for main dishes to come in at less than £10 and for the restaurants to be zero-waste.
Expected to open in August The Anthologist, St Peter’s Square
Not to be confused with The Alchemist or The Botanist, though still serving up a damn fine cocktail, is The Anthologist is soon to open at St Peter’s Square.
It’s the latest opening from Drake & Morgan and will specialise in vibrant salads and main dishes of grilled meats, seafood, burgers, and pasta.
Cocktails will all be themed around nature and botanicals, including homemade syrups and sodas and a decent selection of alcohol-free cocktails too.
To celebrate the opening, they’ll be offering discounts until July 15.
Soft launch from July 2 Fress, Didsbury
The Northern Quarter’s most photogenic brunch spot will throw open the doors to their new Didsbury venue on Saturday June 30.
This one will have massive bi-fold doors across the front, and a big focus on cocktails, as well as their popular food and extravagant bakes.
There’s an opening party to celebrate on Saturday, before normal business kicks off on July 6.
Opening party June 30, officially opens July 6 Klok, Stockport The regeneration of Stockport town centre continues - this time it’s a new modern British restaurant in the old town.
Taking over a historic jeweller’s, Klok is the project of Ernst Van Zyl.
Calling on his South African heritage as well of his love of unusual, foraged ingredients, Klok will offer tasting menus alongside an a la carte offering.
The building is also home to an ornate clock, the mechanisms of which can be viewed from the upstairs of the restaurant.
They’re hosting tasting menu evenings in Wilmslow until Klok opens.
Opening date TBC The Ivy Brasserie, Spinningfields
That enormous plant-covered building that appears to be growing out of the ground in Spinningfields will be home to The Ivy - yes, that entire building.
It is part of the redevelopment of Hardman Square, which will bring some much-needed green space into the city centre.
The Ivy itself will live within the timber-framed Pavilion Building, and will serve polished brunches, cocktails, and afternoon teas.
If this branch of The Ivy follows in the footsteps of its glamorous, art-deco London counterparts, it’s sure to be a very glitzy affair when it opens up in late summer/early autumn.
Expected to open in September Dishoom, Manchester Hall
With five hugely popular sites scattered across London, and one in Edinburgh, it was only a matter of time before Indian restaurant group Dishoom set their sights on Manchester.
Opening inside Manchester Hall later this year, Dishoom celebrates traditional Irani cafes and the food of Bombay, with a menu packed with small plates and grilled meats, plus a smattering of curries.
Dishes to get excited about? Their okra fries are the best of the best, the house black daal is rich and comforting, and they make a superb bacon naan roll if you fancy popping in for breakfast.
