Oldham without their Devils for Workington

-

SCOTT Naylor has confirmed injury-hit Oldham will not be able to call on dual-reg players from Salford Red Devils for tomorrow’s important top-five clash with Workington Town at the Vestacare Stadium.

It will be the fourth game in a row that Roughyeds have gone into battle without assistance from their partner club.

The last time they benefited from dual-reg was on June 3 when Naylor’s men beat Doncaster 32-12 at home with Salford prop Gavin Bennion in the starting line-up.

It was Bennion’s second appearance in the Oldham jersey.

Others from Salford to do the same were Ryan Lannon (twice), Levy Nzoungou (twice) and Daniel Murray (once). Also ruled out are prop Adam Neal (concussion), hooker Kenny Hughes (ankle), second-row man Danny Langtree (hamstring) and prop Ben Davies (perforated ear drum).

Leigh take on Toronto over in Canada tonight in the Betfred Championship.

There is definite ill-feeling between the two sides, as evidenced by the fracas between the coaching staffs following the Summer Bash clash at Blackpool last month.

Rochdale Hornets face a tough trip to the LD Nutrition Stadium to take on Featherstone Rovers, but will be boosted by the inclusion of forward Gavin Bennion.

He has rejoined the club on an initial one-month loan deal from Sheffield Eagles.

Swinton welcome Dewsbury Rams to Heywood Road knowing victory will cut the gap between the two clubs to just one point.
