IN the mood for dancing? We certainly hope so, because gigs going on sale this week seem to have a solid party theme going on. Manchester Arena will host both Jess Glynne and, later in the month, Pete Tong for massive shows.

Elsewhere you’ll find Hacienda Classical reappearing, this time at the Bridgewater Hall, plus an extra date for French singer Christine and the Queens.

And if you’d prefer something a touch more mellow, you’ll find that going on sale too - Tom Odell will play the O2 Apollo in October, and Sigrid’s popped an extra date on at the Albert Hall.

Tickets are on sale from gigsandtours.com. Jess Glynne, Manchester Arena November 17

Jess Glynne, queen of the catchy pop song - the one that gets stuck in your head even when you’ve not heard it for years - will head out on her biggest ever headline tour in November.

She’ll play the Manchester Arena on November 17 in support of her second album Always in Between, which will be released in September. Jess has achieved phenomenal chart success since she burst onto the scene in 2014, helped along by her collaboration with Clean Bandit.

She’s hit the top spot in the UK charts with singles Hold My Hand, Don’t Be So Hard on Yourself, and most recently I’ll Be There, and also has a triple-platinum album with her debut I Cry When I Laugh.

Tickets will go on sale at 9am today (Friday July 6). Pete Tong Presents Ibiza Classics, Manchester Arena November 29

Just because the clubs in Ibiza dial things back in the winter months, doesn’t mean Pete Tong does.

The legendary DJ is back at the Manchester Arena with his Ibiza Classics - an show of epic proportions that marries classical music with club hits.

Expect the likes of The Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim, Faithless, and Daft Punk, all performed by the Heritage Orchestra.

He’ll play Glasgow, Birmingham and London as well as Manchester this November.

The sale for this will start at 9.30am today (Friday July 6). Hacienda Classical, Bridgewater Hall September 27

On a similar theme, Hacienda Classical will play a celebratory concert at the Bridgewater Hall this September.

Blending together the music of the iconic Manchester club with a huge classical orchestra, it’s always a sellout.

The set is updated each year by the DJs behind the project, Graeme Park and Mike Pickering, before being performed by the Manchester Camerata.

The tickets go on sale at 9am today, hot on the tail of the latest Hacienda Classical gig at Castlefield Bowl. Tom Odell, O2 Apollo October 19

British singer-songwriter Tom Odell will return to Manchester this October, in support of his latest album Jubilee Road.

The record is his first since 2016’s hit album Wrong Crowd, and will be released on October 12.

Tom achieved phenomenal success with his moving, emotional singles, including Another Love and Real Love, which both reached the top ten.

His debut album, Long Way Down, reached number one in the UK album chart when it was released in 2013.

Tickets will go on sale today (Friday July 6) at 9am. Christine and the Queens, O2 Apollo November 28

Héloïse Letissier, who goes under the name Christine and the Queens, will release her latest album Chris on September 21, and the tour that supports it is proving incredibly popular already.

She’s announced an extra date for Manchester, bringing her run at the O2 Apollo up to two nights in November.

The new album will be the follow up to debut album Chaleur Humaine, which introduced the world to the hit single Tilted.

Tilted was nominated for a flurry of awards and won best track at the NME awards.

She’s also famed for her choreography, in both music videos and live shows, making her gigs some of the most interesting and entertaining of the bunch.

Tickets for the extra date go on sale at 9am today (Friday July 6). Sigrid, Manchester Albert Hall November 8

Another one who’s had to add an extra date to keep up with Manchester’s appetite for live music is Sigrid.

The young star won the BBC Music Sound of 2018 award this year, hotly tipping her for very big things in the future - like a sell-out show at Manchester’s iconic Albert Hall.

If you missed out on tickets for the Friday gig (and many did), this is your chance to catch her in her hauntingly beautiful element.

Tickets will be available from 9am today (Friday July 6). Jain, Gorilla November 26

If you’d like to brighten a Monday evening in the depths of winter, we’d highly recommend checking out Jain when she plays Gorilla.

The French singer, real name Jeanne Galice, has lived all over the world and her music is influenced by Paris, by the Democratic Republic of Congo, and by the gloss of Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Her sound is jaunty and sunny, and thanks to her background in graphic design her music videos are works of art.

Catch her performing an intimate show at Gorilla on November 26 tickets will go on sale at 10am today (Friday July 6). Bry, Manchester Academy 3 October 23

Irish singer/songwriter Bry has got a big following behind him.

The indie musician recently crowdfunded his way to £12,000 in just three days, all so that he could release an EP without the need of a record label.

His debut album Bry by Bry was released in 2016, but he hopes that the EP Love Pop Suicide will reflect his own musical style more accurately.

This is sure to be an interesting gig. Grab tickets when they go on sale today at 9am (Friday July 6).
