A CAR park was sealed off by police last night after a person was stabbed in Gorton.

Officers were called by the ambulance service to Haworth Road, near Sunny Brow Park, shortly before 6.50pm.

The male, whose age is unknown, was treated at the scene for stab wounds and taken to hospital, police said.

The other included Oakfield Grove, from one end to the other, and a section of Haworth Road at the bottom where it meets Sunny Brow Park.

Detectives were seen combing the ground outside Gorton Market for evidence.

One resident said the attack happened outside the cash machine and that several assailants had jumped out a car before stabbing the victim.
