Corrie star shows off her baby bump!
Coronation Street star Jennie McAlpine shows off her growing baby bump, and says being a mum “is the best thing in the world.” The Corrie favourite who plays Fiz Brown in the ITV1 soap is expecting her second child with her husband Chris Farr.
The Bury actress, who announced the happy news in April, reveals in this week’s issue of OK! Magazine that the first person she told on set was Alan Halsall who plays her on-screen partner Tyrone Dobbs.
And on juggling Corrie with motherhood Jennie, who has a three-year-old son Albert, says: ‘Being a mum is the best thing in the world. It’s better than I ever imagined it would be.
“Now I’m a mum I find myself wishing I could live in some kind of parallel universe where I could work and also be at home full time.
“I choose to work because I love my job and it feels like the right thing for us as a family but I do hate missing out on things with Albert.”
Jennie broke the news on Twitter that she’s due later this year and her Corrie co-stars rushed to congratulate the 34-year-old soap star who won a new army of fans on I’m A Celebrity ...Get Me Out Of Here!
The doting mum, who owns Annie’s Restaurant in Manchester, was upset to miss her son’s third birthday during her stint in the jungle on the ITV reality show.
She was voted out on the eve of the final leaving former Hollyoaks hunk Jamie Lomas, reality TV star Georgia Toffolo and comedian Iain Lee to battle it out for the crown - and Made In Chelsea’s Toff went on to win.
And little Albert captured the hearts of her campmates and their families when he flew out to Australia to meet his mum when she left the TV jungle in December.
Her absence from the show for I’m A Celebrity was explained by Fiz going to stay with her mum Cilla. And she returned to heartbreak when partner Tyrone Dobbs had a fling with gobby neighbour Gemma Winter which led to an epic catfight in the kebab shop.
