GLAMOROUS pop superstar Rita Ora brought the party atmosphere as she performed an exclusive set at the Intu Trafford Centre at the weekend. Fresh from delighting fans at the Hits Radio Live event on Saturday, Rita continued her Manc weekend on Sunday with her appearance at the shopping mall.

Wearing a daring black bra top and trousers, Rita’s performance helped to kickstart the Trafford Centre’s 20th anniversary celebrations.

Girls singer Rita earlier this weekend spoke in defence of some of her more risque looks that she has recently been posting on Instagram.

Speaking to Hits Radio Live’s Sarah-Jane Crawford backstage at the Manchester Arena, she said: “I’ve been doing a lot of sexy pictures recently.

“You know why – it’s summertime, I’m feelin’ my body right now, I’m feelin’ the vibes… I just like to own what I’ve got.

“I don’t think I need to give women any tips on Instagram, I’ve seen some incredible women on Instagram who have literally made a career from social media and you’ve got to give it to them. They look absolutely stunning. As long as you own what you’re doing, whether it’s make up, food, what I do – music, just own it!”

The UK singer performed the exclusive free gig in front of 5,000 adoring fans on the main stage in The Orient thanks to Huawei, the Chinese Smartphone manufacturer, who were launching their new P20 Lite handset.

The performance marked the beginning of a summer full of special events to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the shopping centre.

Throughout August, the centre is planning glitter parties, an edible bubble experience and the world’s first nitro ice cream buggy as well as the return of the beach which will be outside The Great Hall from July 21.

Bosses will then celebrate intu’s official birthday on 10th September with some very “special celebrations”.
