Fashion, food and music festival tribute to JP

-

THE cream of Manchester’s independent food, drink, music and fashion are being brought together for a one-day fundraising festival at Fairfield Social Club.

Full Fat is being held in memory of John-Paul Cassidy, a much-loved craft beer champion, fashion forerunner and outspoken NHS supporter who died aged 37 after a tragic car accident in April.

JP’s fiancée, friends and family have assembled some of his favourite food traders, breweries and artists for the event, which will raise money for brain injury charity Headway and the Greater Manchester Keep Our NHS Public campaign.

Held at Fairfield Social Club on Temperance Street on Saturday August 4 the day before what would have been JP’s birthday - the event will feature food from Pollen Bakery, Idle Hands, ChouChoux Patisserie and La Cucina, the Mediterranean inspired offshoot of sourdough pizza-slingers Honest Crust.

Beers will also be flowing from Cloudwater, Track, Blackjack, Pomona Island, Runaway, Magic Rock, Marble, Moravka Lager, Six O’Clock, Squawk, Thirst Class, Torrside and Wander Beyond, and there’ll also be a natural wine bar from Wines Under the Bonnet and Love and Labour.

The soundtrack to the day comes courtesy of leading local DJs including Duncan Sime, Joe Bird, Jeff O’Toole, Scott Taylor, SMS and Howling Rhythm.

The event runs from 1pm to 11pm.

No tickets are required, just pay a donation on the door.
