Proposal to build 21 new homes

-

PLANS to bulldoze former care home outbuildings to make way for 21 family homes have been tabled.

Seddon Homes wants to demolish a nurses’ accommodation block, administration and storage units at Dale Road, Marple, Stockport.

Marple Dale Care Home, which provides 24-hour care for 63 elderly and young physically disabled residents, will remain open.

Blueprints reveal that the development would provide a mixture of three and five-bed homes.

The developer has offered to pay more than £63,000 to support local infrastructure, but no ‘affordable homes’ will be provided.

“Affordable housing provision does not form part of the planning application as it complies with the requirements for vacant building credit to be applied,” the document reads.
